Rebuilt Kick-Off!

Hey Mythical Friends and Family,

We appreciate our community taking the time to celebrate with us earlier this week! We had a good time talking with you and made a lot of great memories, and as always getting to share the excitement that we have about robotics was a blast!

We had tons of questions about this year’s game, and where to find info surrounding it. Our team has been hard at work coming up with amazing ideas for our robot in the coming season, if you want to know more about this year’s game, attached to this will be the game reveal and game manual for the upcoming season!

This year’s game FIRST Rebuilt is super interesting as (thematically) it builds on previous year’s games. In this game teams will be scoring with a game piece called Fuel, which is a direct parallel to FIRST Steamworks in 2017! Many other things are taken from other games such as the climbing structure from FIRST Stronghold, or the game piece funnels from FIRST RapidReact! All of this is re-building up to look like a great season ahead!

What our team thinks about this year’s game:

“It is the game that our team needed! Our team has historically always been more successful in shooter games. This game is also more simple build wise which will allow us to better leverage the strength of our programming team during the coming season.”

-Dyllan mcDonald, Build Student.

“I personally havent ever seen scoring shifts for alliances which opens interesting strategic pathways for robot design.”

-Simone Lee, Build student.

“I find it very interesting how this game incorporates its title into its theming by using previous years game elements”

-Lio Nunez, Operations captain.

“I really dig *wink* the way the game has an archeology theme.”

-Nyx Turner, Events and Scouting lead

On December 8th, NoMythic went to MinneTrials. This is a competition where our first years get the opportunity to build, program, and then drive the robot they created in the competition.  This competition was a magical experience and it truly couldn’t have been done without all the people that helped out whether it be by…

February has been filled with fantastic experiences and significant achievements for NoMythic. We kicked off the month with two different team bonding events: our board game night, where we also beaded bracelets for the FRC-SWIFT initiative, and our movie night right after practice, where we got snacks and got cozy watching a movie together. However,…
