Duluth – Northern Lights Competition

It’s always a treat to travel with the team to competition. Team members pull together to do the million tasks required to successfully compete – and revel in the time to just hang out together. The robot is still a work on progress – and our rank reflected that – but we made huge strides, and the team came home raring to prepare for and attend our next competition in Minneapolis in just two more weeks.

Lego League at GRS – FULL! – September 13, 2018

Parents – we need help! We must have two adults per team in order to run the teams. Students with a parent volunteering get priority for spots on the teams. Practices are on Wednesday afternoons until mid-December. We’re particularly looking for adults who can support and focus student behavior – not technical issues. Lego training provided.

Great River will have four Lego League teams again this year. And they are now full.  Please check back again next year.

Week Six Update – February 10, 2018

So much is getting done! Right now Kelli, Sam, and Lex are working on bumpers (pictures 1 + 2); Ethan and Zo are milling pieces for the robot (pic 3); Nick and Emilio are working on the chassis (pic 4); Robert, Sean, and Brad are working on pneumatics (pic 5); Wesley, Lando, Connor, Anna, Elizabeth, Henry, Lukas, and Mark are all working on electronics (pic 6); and, last but not least, Alex and Noah are CADing (pic 7).  Good work, teams!
