Red alliance wins the super duper close match 302 to 21!

Game play:
This was against 2 very skilled defensive bots, 3082 Chicken Bot Pie (our close friends) and 1533 Triple Strange. They kept our scoring low even with 3 offensive blue alliance players.

Other notes:
This was the final match of qualifications and we are currently sitting at 23rd place in Galileo. The end of day newsletter is coming out tonight at closing

Whew that defense was INTENSE!! EVE took some hard hits here, so we’re gonna do a full damage check. Something of note was that the odometry felt off throughout the duration of the match. (zero chances to reset) But overall nothing major, no specific worries from the drive team, EVE’s doing great! The quest stayed firmly in place this time despite the aggressive play.

Pit is gonna work their magic!

That was a tough and rough match, we took some hard and specific hits here! The entire front pane of our hopper came right off in auto. After that the robot got disabled for reasons unknown, so checking the wiring connections and program logs is in order.

Pit is going to quickly replace the front hopper panel, do some on-checks and get EVE back in working order!

Game play:
The match went even better than expected with Patriotics and Stateside following the plan perfectly. We set up a new auto that was very successful and all 3 alliance members were able to run theirs thanks to it. We scored about 130 there and went out to the neutral zone to pick up and pass. There was some defense thrown on Stateside but there was clear a clear backup plan that we pivoted to when that happened. Overall, this match was a huge highlight and a pleasure to watch.

• 7th for EPA in Galileo
• 16th in our division

Next up we are taking on Orbit for an interesting match. We are hoping to shut them down on defense, keep our EPA up, protect our robot, and play our best.

Pit Update (from Opal): Drive team zero, ZERO notes on mechanical functionality. “I got nothing.” The robot did catch some air though, so one thorough damage inspection coming right up!
